Sympa mail interface commands

All commands should be sent to sympa@listsdev.hbs.edu.

To send one command only, enter the command in the Subject line, and leave the email body blank.

To send several commands in a single message:

• Leave the Subject line blank.
• Enter the commands in the message body (one command per line).
• The final command line MUST be END.

Commands for users

HELP: receive a list of all available commands

Note: not all commands you receive using this command are enabled at HBS.

LISTS: receive a list of all lists managed on the server that you have permission to see

WHICH: receive a list of all lists to which you are subscribed

QUIT: indicates the end of the commands (used to ignore a signature)

INFO list: get information about the list

SUBSCRIBE list: subscription (or subscription confirmation) to the list. (Does not work for Closed lists)

UNSUBSCRIBE list email: unsubscribe from the list. (Does not work for Closed lists)

Commands for list owners

REVIEW list: receive a list of all list members

ADD list email: add a member to the list

DEL list email: remove a subscriber from the list

STATS list: check the statistics for the list
